Bluebook Score Calculator

Use the correct-answer counts from all four Bluebook modules to get a broad planning estimate. If Bluebook has already issued a score for the completed practice test, that official practice score is the better reference.

Quick answer

For a completed, scored Bluebook practice test, use the score shown by Bluebook/My Practice. Use our calculator when you want a quick estimate from module-level correct counts, want to explore a hypothetical result, or want one place to compare Math and Reading and Writing inputs.

How to use Bluebook results

1. Complete a full-length practice test

Use the official Bluebook app and realistic timing. A full test gives you the adaptive two-module experience in both sections.

2. Open your score and question review

Record the official total and section scores first. Then count correct answers in each module.

3. Enter all four module counts

Math allows 0-22 correct per module. Reading and Writing allows 0-27 correct per module.

4. Treat the result as a planning range

Compare the estimate with Bluebook, then use repeated weak domains to plan the next study block.

What this calculator can and cannot do

  • Show Math, Reading and Writing, and total estimates.
  • Help compare several practice sessions consistently.

Cannot do

  • Issue an official SAT or Bluebook score.
  • Reproduce College Board's unpublished model.
  • Guarantee a score from a fixed number of misses.
  • Determine a universal Module 2 routing cutoff.

Bluebook calculator FAQ

Does Bluebook calculate an official practice score?

Yes. After a scored full-length practice test, Bluebook and My Practice provide the official practice-test score for that form. Use that score instead of replacing it with a third-party estimate.

What should I enter in this calculator?

Enter the number correct in Reading and Writing Module 1, Reading and Writing Module 2, Math Module 1, and Math Module 2 after reviewing your practice test.

Why can an estimate differ from my Bluebook score?

College Board scoring considers the characteristics of the questions and the test form. An independent calculator does not have the unpublished operational scoring model.

Can I use this before finishing a Bluebook test?

You can use it to explore broad planning ranges, but the most useful workflow is to finish a full practice test, review the official score, then use module-level results to plan study priorities.
